BIG ALS' BOXING WEEK DEALS
6 days of specials (including 125G and 150G tanks)

Got this via email today... (I don't think the specials are limited to the day they are listed under, but have no way of confirming that)
Note that most of the deals on tanks have already been offered during the past few months, but are still decent.
One deal caught my eye: Emperor 400 for $59.99 (including extra set of 4 cartridges).
You can download the entire PDF here: Boxing Week Sale

I just got back from BA's Hamilton and I am pretty sure I saw tumble weeds blowing through the store! There was no one in the store!

Of course not. Everyone wanting something from there was waiting at 9am for the store to open.

I was at BA Newmarket today. Really disappointing.
Only 20% off in general (usually it is 25% on boxing day), and all of the tank specials are the same prices they've been offering since September. (No sale price on 135G either, just 125G and 150G).
I've been waiting to get a 135G and nice stand for the living room. I've had my eye on a really nice dark-stained "mission"-style stand for several months (normally $936, yikes!), and was hoping it would be on sale at the higher end of the "20-40% off all stands", but no such luck, only 20% off ($749), which I could have gotten anytime with the American Express discount.
I may break down and buy it anyway, but I think I can probably get 20% off it at any time, so no hurry really.
There was also nothing great in livestock. 20% off on most, but the prices on some stuff also seemed inflated: $30/pair for apisto caucatoides and agasizzi (as opposed to the $11.88/pair for a. caucatoides that they advertised, but never had any available at, during the weekly flyer a few weeks ago).
They had three "Galaxy" plecos, but they were covered in ick/fungus, and didn't look like they were going to make it. Also had one "starlight" pleco, but it didn't have the white trim on the fins, and the dots were so tiny that it looked just plain black until you got up REAL close ($30).
Any good livestock deals (especially plecos) at the other BA's?
Thanks - Sean

Yes I asked the store manager of BA Oakville, he says the deal is for the whole week as whats on the flyer for boxing week. But the daily sale flyer could be for on line shopping.

I've personally been to the Mississauga, Oakville, Hamilton and Barrie BA's in the past 6 months or so... The Barrie store is DEFINITELY the best! Very clean store and good quality stock, from guppies to cichlids.
I have had bad luck with stock from Oakville, and the fish look sedated in most of the tanks. They have a good selection of equipment, and that's all I'll buy from that store from now on.
I bought a 75 gal from the Mississauga store a couple weeks ago, just a day before getting my flyer... the same tank is $40 cheaper! What did they say about it? I'd have to bring it back to get credit and then buy it again at the cheaper price. It would have been nice to be told that exact tank was going on sale in a short time. The Brick and Best Buy have price guarantees...
Anyone been to the Brampton BA?

Does anyone know which brand is better between Perfecto and All-Glass?

I believe Perfecto only has a 90 day warranty if you dont use their stands

The Brampton BA is the worse compared to Miss,Oakville,Scarborough, Whitby,York,Hamilton and London from my point of view.
For FW fish, I believe, BA has a guarantee for five days. You have to bring back the dead fish with receipt n they will replace or refund fifty percent, correct me if I am wrong since I have seen those posting in the Miss. store.

Regular, by no means...just had a few large tank purchases over the last 10years...and occasionally bought food and maintenace stuff...they still have things on sale..think it should be done by tomorrow (new years eve..)
